Tarot isn’t fortune-telling; it’s a mirror

The question I’m asked most often across the Tarot table is “when”. When will he call, when will the job come, when does the luck turn. And the honest answer is that the cards have never once handed me a calendar. What they hand me, every single time, is a mirror.

A Tarot spread shows the forces already moving in your life: the thing you’re avoiding, the door you keep walking past, the strength you’ve been discounting. The Tower isn’t a threat, it’s an acknowledgement that something built on sand is doing what sand does. The Star isn’t a promise, it’s a direction. When a sitter says “I knew that, really”, that’s the reading working exactly as it should.

So instead of “when”, try asking “what”. What am I not seeing? What is this situation asking of me? What would it cost me to stay exactly where I am? Those questions give the cards something to bite on, and they give you something to walk out with that no calendar could: a decision that’s actually yours.

I keep my readings honest, warm and free of doom. Nothing is fated at my table; you leave holding the pen.

People ask if I plan my paintings. The honest answer is that the painting usually arrives first; I just try to keep up with it.
